               own decisions . 

               4) --Teenagers must be not be allowed to have part-time jobs . 

                 --I disagree . They can learn a lot from working .

  热身         Review  the  poem  “Mom   knows  best”   by  answering  the 

           teacher’s questions or trying to retell the story.

            2. What did mom do when I was tired and hungry?
            3. What did mom do when I fell and hurt myself?
            4. When I was seven coughing badly, what did mom say to me?
            5. What did mom do when I was watching scary movies?

            7. When I talked back again, what did I say to mom?
           8. What do the writer regret doing now?

Ⅱ.感知       1. Learning tasks“示标定向” 

  体验       (1)学习并掌握新词汇:herself, fall down

           (2)能正确使用语法要点中的句型。

           2. Leading-in“导入新课”

            利用课件呈现对话。

           ①  ---I  don’t  think sixteen-year-olds should be allowed  to 

           drive. 

              ---I agree . They aren’t serious enough.

           ②---Do you think teenagers should be encouraged to make their 

           own decisions?

             ---No, I don’t agree with this. Teenagers are too young to 

           make their own decisions. 

           ③---Teenagers should not be allowed to have part-time jobs.  

             ---I disagree. They can learn a lot from working.

           ④---Do  you  think we  may be  allowed to take  photos if  we 

           don’t use a flash. 

            ---If you don’t use a flash, then it may be OK..

           3.操练。

           ⑴机械操练 (Mechanical Drills) 

             Ask and answer the conversations in pairs.

           ⑵ 有意义操练 (Meaningful Drills) 4a

             Group work:

             (1) Rewrite the sentences according to the examples .

             (3) Read the sentences in groups .

           ⑶ 交际性操练 (Communicative Drills)4b
               1) Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the words 
             in brackets .
               2) Check the answers in groups .
               3) Share their answers.

               4) Read the passage loudly together .


Ⅲ.强化       总结:含有情态动词的被动语态。
           结构为:are/     is +及物动词的过去分词,          were/ was+及物动词的过去
  巩固
           分词。
           【例句】

           1. Many trees should be planted in the mountains. 
           2. You can take this book home.
              →This book can be taken home (by you). 
           3. This problem can’t be worked out very easily. 
           4. Must the work be done at once? 
           【结论】
           A.   含有情态动词的被动语态的结构为:情态动词+_be__+及物动词的
           __过去分词______。
           B.   含有情态动词的主动语态变为被动语态时,要把主动语态的_宾语
           ____变成被动语态的主语。
           C. 变为否定句时只需要在情态动词后加_not____。
           D. 变为一般疑问句时只需把_情态动词_______提到句首。
           【运用】
           Ⅰ. 选择最佳答案。

           (    ) Young trees should ________ every year.

           Ⅱ. 按要求完成下列各句,每空一词(含缩写)。
           1. We must do the work right now. (改为被动语态) 

             The work must be done right now.
           2. Teenagers should be allowed to go out with their friends on

              (改为否定句)

Ⅳ.实践       Activity 4c:

  应用       1. Practice the conversations in groups.

            A: Members should be allowed to use dictionaries .

            B:   Yes   ,but  they   should   only  use   English-English 

           dictionaries.

           2. You and your students are starting an English club . Make a 

           list of what should and should not be allowed .

结构为:are/ is +及物动词的过去分词, were/ was+及物动词的过去分词。
