 Unit 7  Teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes

                                 Section A  1a—2d

一、【教材分析】

               1. 能听、说、读、写下列单词:

                license , smoke , safety , earring , pierce , cut, protect , anyway

        知识     2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:

               agree.

               2)He should stop wearing that silly earring .

        目标

        情感     通过对学校或其他制度的讨论,培养学生自我判定是非的能力,作为学生什么该做、

        目标     什么不该做,要做到心中有数,针对一些社会的不良现象,也应该有极强的判定力和

               正义感。 

教学重点           熟练掌握本课的词汇及句型。

教学难点           掌握含有情态动词的被动句。

教学方法           情境教学法;任务型教学法。

二、【教学流程】

I.复习       课前  3 分钟检查单词预习情况,教师根据学生读的状况,适当领读,帮

           Revise and learn some new words:

Ⅱ.感知       1. Learning tasks“示标定向” 出示这节课的三维学习目标。

  体验          (1)学习并掌握下列单词:

            license , smoke , safety , earring , pierce , cut, protect , 

           anyway

              (2)能正确使用以下常用表达:

           be  allowed to ,  get the  driver’s  license  , no  way ,  be 

           worried about , get their  ears pierced , sixteen-year-olds , 

           spend time  with friends , be  excited about , take photos  , 

           stop doing sth

              (3)能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式:

           1)—I   don’t   think sixteen-year-olds should  be allowed  to 

             drive . —I agree .

           2)He should stop wearing that silly earring .

           3)  —Do you think teenagers should …? 

               —Yes, I …. No, I ….

           2. Leading-in“导入新课”

            1)  Show  the new  words  on page  49  on the  screen  by  a 

           projector.

               smoke v. 冒烟,吸烟;n..烟

               drive v. 驾驶;驾车

               pierce v. 刺穿;刺破[来      zk5u.com]

               license n. 执照;许可证

               safety n. 安全, 安全性

               earring n. 耳环

                Say the  words and have  students repeat  over and  over 

           again until they are pronounced fluently and accurately.

            2)  Now use “   is allowed  to”  and  “  isn't allowed  to”

           instead of “can do” and “can't do” to practice sentences.

            3)  Then  ask students  questions  about things  that  their 

           parents say they can and can't do.

                            My family has some rules. 
                            Look at these pictures and 
                            tell me what they are.

                             I am not allowed to……
                                play computer games     
                                watch TV 
                                listen to music
                                make my room a mess

             Give an sample sentence using the structure above.

           ①--Do your parents allow you to choose your own clothes?

             --No, they don’t.

             (You should be allowed to choose your own clothes.)

           ②-- Do your parents allow you to get your ear pierced?

             --No, they don’t.

             (You should not be allowed to get your ear pierced.

Ⅲ.强化       1. 机械操练 (Mechanical Drills) 

  巩固       1) Learn to talk about what you are allowed to do according to 

           some pictures. Agree or disagree.

             A. Can I  go to the shopping center with John? He  just got 

           his driver's license.

             B:  No  way! I  don’t   think  sixteen-year-olds should  be 

           allowed to drive. I' m worried about their safety.

           2. 有意义操练 (Meaningful Drills)

             Pair work:

             (1) Look at the statements in 1a and make conversations.

             (2) 2d : Role play the conversation.

                 Answer the following questions:

               1) What is Sandy going to bring ?

               2) Why aren' t they allowed to take photos in the museum ?

               3) What should be allowed to do according to Sandy ?

             (3) Check the answers and explain some language points.

           3. 交际性操练 (Communicative Drills)

              Some students ask  others what they are  allowed to do  or 

           aren' t allowed to do and tell whether they agree . Make their 

           own conversations according to  2d, and then share their  new 

           conversations.

Ⅳ.实践       Listening practice:

  应用        1. 1b

            Ask students to read the three sentences by themselves. 

            Introduce what the conversations are about briefly.

            Get the  students to listen and circle T  for true or F  for 

           false .    

            Share their answers.

           2. 2a

             First get the students to look through the sentences and try 

           to conjecture what they’ll hear.

             Then  get them  to listen and  circle Agree  , Disagree  or 

           Doesn’t' t know to show what Molly thinks .

              Share their answers.

           3. 2b

             Listen again and number their reasons in the correct order .
             Share their answers. 
              

Ⅴ.总结        1. 引导学生小结梳理知识框架、规律、方法,并对合作小组当堂学习

  反馈       情况进行总结评价,巩固学生所获得的语言知识和经验,让学生在评价

           中反思,在反思中进步。

            Ask one of the students to say what they have learned.

           2.  当堂检测(见学案):教师要随堂进行评价,批改可以由学习小组内

           互批、组间互批、集体订正等方法,批阅后教师要统计达标情况,收集

           反馈信息,当堂矫正补救。

Ⅵ.作业       1. 口头作业: 听并跟读录音, 编对话, 背笔记。

  布置       2. 书面作业:

              Remember the new words of 1a-2d.

              Finish off the exercises.

              Preview the new words of 3a-3c.

四、【教后反思】

本单元是对学生进行规则教育。通过对学校或其他制度的讨论,培养学生自我判定是非的能力,作为学

生什么该做、什么不该做,要做到心中有数,针对一些社会的不良现象,也应该有极强的判定力和正义

感。学生通过短语        be allowed to do 和 be not allowed to do 这两个重点短语结构,来练习相关句型,

深刻体会本单元的意义,学会规范自己的言行。多媒体教学,为学生理解句子,进行操练提供方便。但

是在课堂节奏把握上不够,造成课堂容量过大,在今后的教学中应该与学生实际相结合,恰当处理教材。
